Commemorating the earthly appearance of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami was celebrated by Kabirians of Navrangpura, with great pomp and show. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the school where the students of primary section came traditionally  dressed as Radha and Krishna and performed a beautiful dance.

An awareness  on Janmashtami and the mythological stories from Lord Krishna’s childhood were presented to the children through plays and narrations. The students recited Shlokas from Bhagvat Gita and bhajans were sung by teachers. The celebrations ended with a mesmerizing dance performance by the mothers of primary section. The students were overjoyed when they broke the ‘Dahi handi’ to mark the event. This holy occasion brings people together thus signifying unity and faith.
