The Independence Week Celebration at St. Kabir High School Navrangpura took place from 7th August to 15th August. This annual event is dedicated to commemorating the spirit of freedom and national pride, while also engaging students in various educational and cultural activities that emphasize the significance of independence.
Throughout the week pre-primary and primary students were engaged in activities like drawing, craftwork, tri-color food activity, crafting essays etc,which helped them gain better understanding of the importance of the day. A special assembly was conducted by std.IX where the students delivered slogans of patriots and elocution on ‘Contribution of Indian Army in nation building’. The most important and enjoyed was ‘The antakshari’ based on Patriotic songs. Parents were invited to be a part of the program and were the participants of antakshari. The assembly conducted on the eve of Indian Independence which saw a series of programmes where the pre-primary children delivered motivational speeches and group song. The students of higher classes recited poems and gave powerful speeches. Grandparents and parents were invited to witness and they shared insightful thoughts.
The final day of Independence Day celebrations featured march past by the scouts students,Flag Hoisting, Address by Principal Dr. Praveena Gaur, a beautiful act by the students of std 2 depicting vibrant styles from every corner of India, poem recital, speeches and a mesmerising patriotic dance. Our Asst. Director, Rashmi Trivedi delivered an inspiring speech and the invited parents shared their thoughts. The event concluded with the Cultural Coordinator giving Vote of Thanks.
It was truly a week to remember and cherish where the entire school – teachers and students came together to honour the spirit of freedom and to acknowledge the sacrifices made by our national heroes.
