A comprehensive Career Counselling Session for the students of Std. X was conducted by Ms. Bhaswati Sen, a seasoned educator, at St Kabir High School Navrangpura with the aim of helping students gain clarity and confidence regarding their future academic and career paths. The session was thoughtfully designed to guide students at this crucial stage of decision-making and how to choose the right stream after 12th std .
During the session, students were introduced to a wide range of career opportunities available across various fields such as Science, Commerce, Humanities, Design, Law, Management, Media, Technology, Defence Services and Entrepreneurship. Emphasis was laid on identifying one’s interests, aptitude, personality traits, passion and strengths before making career choices. The session also highlighted the importance of skill development, goal setting, time management and continuous learning in today’s competitive world.
Through interactive discussions, practical examples and motivational guidance, students were encouraged to think beyond conventional career options and explore emerging fields and opportunities. The session also addressed common doubts and misconceptions related to stream selection and career planning, enabling students to make informed and well-balanced decisions.
The counselling session proved to be highly enriching, insightful and inspiring for the students. It not only broadened their understanding of diverse career avenues but also motivated them to pursue their aspirations with dedication, confidence and a positive mind-set.
