Our school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a meaningful special assembly to honour the life and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. The programme began with an engaging presentation featuring interesting facts about Gandhiji and the significance of his birth anniversary.
Students learnt about his life, principles and contribution to India’s freedom struggle, while reflecting on his timeless values of truth, non-violence, cleanliness and respect for all. The highlight of the assembly was a thoughtful enactment by the students of Std. 6, who beautifully portrayed how Gandhiji’s values can be practised in our everyday lives. Through their performance, they highlighted the importance of respecting everyone, keeping our surroundings clean, helping others and being responsible citizens.
The assembly continued with soulful bhajans and patriotic songs, creating an atmosphere of reflection and pride. This was followed by an energetic patriotic dance that added enthusiasm to the celebration. The programme concluded with an inspiring address by our
respected Principal, who summarised the key messages of the assembly and encouraged students to embrace Gandhiji’s ideals in their daily lives. The celebration served as a meaningful reminder that true tribute lies in putting these values into action.
