Every year on October 1st, the world observes the International Day of Older Persons, a global occasion that acknowledges the priceless contributions of senior citizens. Established by the United Nations General Assembly, this day offers a platform to pay homage to and celebrate the elderly, recognize their role in the society, and address the issues impacting their well-being. To commemorate this day, St. Kabir High School Navrangpura hosted a special celebration, inviting grandparents of std 1 and 2 students to join us for a memorable day.
This celebration began with a warm welcome for all grandparents. Grandparents shared their wisdom and stories, fostering a sense of connection between generations. Since the day coincided with Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at school, they also shared cherished stories about Mahatma Gandhi that inspired our students.
This celebration aimed honour our beloved elders and instil values of respect and gratitude in our students.
