The “Say No to Drugs” campaign conducted by the Lion’s Club at St. Kabir School for the students of std IXth and Xth on 16.8.2024 aimed to educate students and the community about the dangers of drug use and addiction.
*They started with the interaction by asking few questions to the students.
Students reciprocated very well.
*Non-medical use of drugs can lead to addiction, causing severe health, social, and economic problems.
Reasons were discussed
*Health Issues: Drug abuse can result in chronic health issues
*Peer Pressure: Young individuals may be influenced by friends or social circles to try drugs, leading to addiction.
*Stress and Emotional Pain: People may turn to drugs as a coping mechanism to deal with stress, trauma, or emotional pain.
*Posters were distributed to provide information about drugs, their effects, and how to avoid them.
*Students took pledge to remain drug-free and support friends and family in avoiding drug use.
