St. Kabir High School Navrangpura, organised a Rakhi Making Competition for Grade 3 and 7
students, offering them a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Raksha Bandhan
through creativity and hands-on learning. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation
from students and parents, creating an atmosphere filled with joy, colour and festive cheer.
Using an array of materials such as silk threads, ribbons, beads, sequins, lace and decorative
embellishments, students designed and crafted beautiful handmade Rakhis. Each creation
reflected originality, imagination and attention to detail, showcasing the artistic talents of
the young participants.
Parents actively joined their children in the activity, guiding and encouraging them
throughout the competition. The event provided a meaningful platform for families to
spend quality time together while celebrating an important cultural tradition.
Beyond fostering creativity, the competition helped students gain a deeper appreciation of
the significance of Raksha Bandhan and the values of love, care and protection it represents.
It also contributed to the development of fine motor skills, concentration and aesthetic
sensibilities.
The event concluded on a happy note with students proudly displaying their handcrafted
Rakhis. Certificates and gifts were presented to the participants in recognition of their
