Rashtriya Ekta Diwas or National Unity Day which is an ode to Sardar Vallabhai Patel’s unwavering commitment towards national integration was celebrated at St. Kabir High School, Navrangpura with great enthusiasm. A series of activities were conducted by the school to commemorate the occasion. The day started with a special assembly where the students performed role play of Sardar Patel, delivered speeches and debated on national unity. The students made posters, wrote poems, essays and slogans on the topic “Unity”.
In order to coincide with the national celebration of National Unity Day, “Run for Unity” was also planned for the students of std. 8th and 9th around the school premises to evoke the spirit of integrity among the students. All along their possession they carried a spirited message for cohesive and unified India. Their loud chanting of slogans boosted the morale of everyone who came across in their way giving a perfect tribute to the Iron Man on his birth anniversary. The celebrations ended with the teachers and students undertaking the “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge” to reinforce the commitment to strengthen the unity, integrity and security of our nation.
