Educational tours or field trips can be an ever lasting memory that leaves a permanent mark in the holistic upbringing of any student. It not only provides an insight for enjoyment but it’s always overloaded with full knowledge and curiosity.
On 25th of Oct 2023 , right after the auspicious day of Dusshera, the students of class IX ,St Kabir school, Navrangpura, embarked on a visit to the well known , village of Balasinor, Raiyoli’ s Dinosaur park and museum, which is now also a heritage place under Gujarat tourism. On arrival, the students and staff were welcomed by the Nawab and begum of that village who manage the park and the museum. The students were treated with high protein breakfast and lunch. The students got the opportunity to visit the areas where the fossils of Indian dinosaurs were found. This visit to the fossil park had surely made all dig deep into the history of dinosaurs in Gujarat. And in order to quench one’s thirst for the same, the state government has also come up with a Dinosaur Museum. The museum is spread in an area of over 25,000 sq. feet with 10 galleries. The museum provided important insights on the eras of dinosaurs, big bang theories, evolution and extinction eras , evolution of other reptiles and man, the eggs and hatching period etc . The students also got thrilled to experience the 5D movies on dinosaurs. They also got the golden opportunity to touch the eggs fossil of Indian dinosaurs preserved by them. The whole tour was managed and guided by the Princess of Balasinor, Aaliya Babi, who has been working for years on this project of imparting knowledge about the dinosaurs and their eras to the students worldwide.
All in all, the educational trip was filled with knowledge and entertainment at the same time. Truly an inspiring journey which will mark an everlasting impression on the child’s memory.
