Celebrating children’s dreams, rights, and love help them develop into caring, self-assured adults who are capable of taking responsibility for themselves and the world around them.

Children’s day is celebrated on 14th November. This day is the birthday of India’s 1st prime minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, better known as Chacha Nehru. Due to his deep love for children, India decided to honor his legacy by celebrating his birthday as Children’s day. The day is to raise awareness of children’s rights, education and welfare.

Children’s Day holds immense importance for several reasons:

  • It’s a day to celebrate childhood. Children have immense potential, joy, and innocence. The day serves as a reminder to value the distinct viewpoint and vitality that kids provide the world.
  • Children have right to healthcare, education, safety, and protection. Children’s Day highlights how crucial it is to protect these rights for each and every child. The day brings attention to issues like child labor, child trafficking, and child abuse. It encourages society to take action and work towards creating a better future for all children.
  • Chacha Nehru believed in nurturing young minds, as he saw the future in them. Thus the day emphasizes the need of providing every kid with a high-quality education, which is very vital. It advances the notion that education is both a vital tool for individual and community growth.

I will commit myself to teaching at least one child in the future, changing the world one student at a time, developing their potential, and encouraging a love of learning that will influence their future.
