Grade VI students of St. Kabir High School Navrangpura celebrated World Cotton Day on 7th October with a session led by their Cultural Coordinator Ms. Anjali Balasubramanian, an ex – fashion designer. During the seminar, students learned about the different types of cotton, its many properties, and how it is used in everyday life. They also explored why cotton is so valuable in the fashion industry and beyond.

After the seminar, the students took part in a fun, hands-on activity where they were encouraged to showcase their skill at designing traditional wear using pieces of cotton fabric. The day was both educational and artistic, as students worked on their designs. Their creations were truly unique , reflecting their Individuality and creativity.

It gave students a deeper understanding of cotton’s importance allowing them to get creative with this versatile material.
