St. Kabir Navrangpura often organizes bag less days for various classes with the aim of fostering creativity, reducing stress, and promoting a sense of community within the school. The idea is to offer students a break from their usual routine of lugging heavy backpacks filled with books, assignments, and personal items.

On the occasion of Teachers Day, bag less day was organized for std 5 and 7 where students were taught button sewing, a valuable life skill and various activities that enhance their critical thinking and team building abilities.

The button sewing activity proved to be a hit with students, who thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on and creative challenge. They used colorful buttons and thread to create unique designs on fabric, which sparked their creativity, improved their fine motor skills, help develop focus and patience.

As part of boosting critical thinking, std 7 was engaged in solving Sudoku. The challenge of filling in the puzzles with numbers was both fun and stimulating. Students enjoyed the mental exercise as they worked to solve them. The activity not only sharpened their problem-solving skills but also encouraged friendly competition and teamwork. They also had a fantastic time participating in team-building activities. They engaged in fun challenges that required collaboration, communication, and creative problem-solving. These activities made them feel more connected and taught the value of teamwork.

The feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive. Students enjoyed the break from their usual routine and appreciated the opportunity to engage in more dynamic and creative activities. Many expressed how freeing it felt to not be burdened by heavy bags and how it made the day more enjoyable.

Overall Bag less Day has not only lightened the load of students’ backpacks but has also brightened their school experience.
