Students of std 3 of St. Kabir High School, Navrangpura visited the Qi Animal Sanctuary in
Ghuma, Ahmedabad for a hands-on learning experience about the interdependence of
animals and their environment. The sanctuary, run by the Qi To Happiness Foundation,
offers a safe and interactive space where children can observe, touch and feed a wide
variety of animals.
From birds like ducks, turkeys and macaws to mammals such as rabbits, donkeys, pigs and
even the rare Punganur cow, the visit allowed students to witness how different species
coexist in harmony. They also observed reptiles like iguanas and turtles, sparking curiosity
and interest.
The visit encouraged empathy, sharpened observation skills and deepened students’ respect
for all living beings. More than just an outing, it was a meaningful step toward building
compassion and environmental awareness.
