Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system. This year’s International Yoga day Theme is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ i.e. Yoga for the welfare of all in the form of ‘One World-One Family’.  Today the day was attended our Asst. Director ma’am, Principal ma’am, Vice Principal ma’am, Supervisor ma’am and Students with great enthusiasm. Special guest Mrs. Chidrupini Kshatriya, a renowned nutritionist as well yoga instructor was there to grace the occasion.

The event began with a brief introduction on Yoga Day by a speech by the Cultural Coordinator, welcoming the guest and others present. It was followed by a speech of a student sharing importance of Yoga since ancient times in the country. Then there was an amazing Asanas and formations by the students of std 6th to 9th. Students of std 8th & 9th had prepared beautiful posters on the importance of Yoga. Similarly an essay writing competition was held in junior classes. The programme further continued with warm up exercises, students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. Few teachers and staff also performed yoga. Ms. Kshatriya taught the importance of Yoga in our life & how it helps maintain the harmony between body and mind. The students discussed the importance of yoga and also exhibited yoga postures and promised to introduce this activity in their daily lives. The function ended with a vote of thanks by our CC madam.
