Declamation derived from Latin word declamatio is an artistic form of public speaking. A virtual Inter-House Declamation competition was organized by St. Kabir, Navrangpura for the students of grades VI-IX on 27.02.2021. The participants had to select a speech of a famous speaker and deliver an excerpt from the speech within a stipulated time limit. Participants selected inspiring speeches given by popular personalities like Danzel Washington, Rahul Bose, Michelle Obama, Barack Obama, Bal Gangadhar Tilak etc. They displayed confidence and enthusiasm and while participating in the competition. The participants were judged on the basis of selection of their speeches, diction, intonation, voice modulation and facial expressions. Judges applauded the participants for their confidence and clarity of thought.Our Respected HM Madam appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged other students also to come forward and participate in such events.
