Maha Shivaratri is known as the great night of Shiva. It is celebrated in honour of Lord Shiva or Shankara. People celebrate this day by fasting, making sweets, offering fruits & milk to Lord Shiva. The sacred chant “Om Namaha Shivaya” is chanted throughout the day.

To feel the verve of the festival, children of Grade V of St. Kabir Navrangpura, presented a special virtual assembly on Maha Shivaratri.
The celebration commenced with the Morning Prayer followed by a speech sharing the significance of the pious day. A beautiful powerful point presentation was presented showcasing the life of Lord Shiva.

The main highlight of the assembly was a dance performance on “SHIVA TANDAVA by Rajiv of Grade V dressed as Lord Shiva, followed by graceful dance performances of Manvi and Nandini clad in beautiful outfits. The celebration ended on a musical note by a bhajan sung by our talented student Kirtan Vaidya.

The students and the teachers were filled with the spiritual fervour on the occasion.
