November 14, celebrated as Children’s Day on the occasion of birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru across the country. Jawaharlal Nehru, born on November 14 was the first Prime Minister of the country.
Staff of St. Kabir School, navrangpura celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and love in fond memory of Jawaharlal Nehru. It was celebrated by having a special assembly in which teachers used few words to express their love for students and gave some motivation for better being. Also students shared their wishes on how they would like it to be. Students were allowed to freely dress according to their choice, Classrooms were decorated with ribbons and balloons, Teachers gave gifts to students and different games such as lemon & spoon race, three legged- race and balancing the book were enjoyed by students. Students enjoyed the day in their own favorable way.
The main purpose behind the Children’s Day celebration is to spread awareness about child care, child rights and child education in the country.
