St. Kabir High School Navrangpura, recently hosted an engaging session on ‘Peer Pressure and Mental Health’ under the initiative ‘Beyond The Ordinary’ by Laa Po Laa. The session was conducted by Mr.Walter Peter, a devoted practitioner of Theatre-in-Education, who has been a lifelong learner, theatre artist and educator with over 35 years of excellence in using theatre and drama as powerful tools for mass awareness and social transformation, particularly in the field of education.
In his interactive and play-way style, Mr. Peter guided the students on how to resist negative peer pressure and nurture strong mental health. Through anecdotes and theatre-based techniques, he emphasized that one should not always act with a reason or for the sake of others’ approval, it is perfectly fine to pursue things that bring happiness and personal satisfaction.
Students walked away with valuable lessons on confidence, individuality and the importance of listening to their own inner voice. The session left Kabirians motivated to make choices that truly reflect who they are, proving that learning can be meaningful and joyful at the same time.
