St. Kabir High School Navrangpura, celebrated International Yoga Day with great zeal and
enthusiasm, bringing together students, teachers and grandparents in a meaningful celebration of
health and well-being.
The event commenced with a captivating yoga performance by the students, showcasing various
asanas with grace, coordination and discipline. The performance highlighted the importance of
incorporating yoga into daily life for physical fitness and mental well-being.
The celebration was further enriched by the presence of Ms. Ramya Karthik, a certified Yoga Teacher
and Yoga Evaluator accredited by the Yoga Certification Board under the Ministry of Ayush. Through
her engaging session, she guided the participants through various yoga postures and breathing
techniques, emphasizing the holistic benefits of yoga for both body and mind.
The Yogis from Sahaj Yoga Meditation then conducted a meditation session, introducing participants
to simple techniques for achieving inner peace, self-awareness and emotional balance. The session
encouraged everyone to experience the power of silence and mindfulness.
The active participation of grandparents added a special touch to the event, creating a wonderful
atmosphere of intergenerational learning and togetherness. Their involvement reflected the
universal appeal of yoga as a practice that benefits people of all ages.
