As part of their vocational subject Financial Literacy, the students of St. Kabir High School Navrangpura organized a Food Fest that combined learning with purpose. The young entrepreneurs planned, budgeted, priced and sold a variety of mouth-watering dishes, gaining practical exposure to real-life financial concepts such as cost estimation, marketing and profit calculation.

The funds raised from this student-led initiative were used for a noble cause. On October 9, observed as World Sight Day, the students, accompanied by their teachers, visited Andh Kanya Prakash Gruh, an institution dedicated to the education and welfare of visually challenged girls. During the visit, students interacted warmly with the residents, shared conversations and donated the collected funds along with useful materials.

The visit was a touching reminder of the importance of empathy and inclusivity. It taught the young learners that financial literacy is not just about earning and managing money but also about using it wisely for the greater good. The experience truly embodied the spirit of World Sight Day- spreading awareness, kindness and the light of understanding.
