St Kabir High School, Navrangpura endeavours to inculcate a holistic approach towards learning, amongst the students. Continuing this legacy an Educational Trip was planned for the students of std. 6, to ISRO VSSE Centre Ahmedabad on 15th December. A group of 68 students accompanied by 6 teachers went on this science expedition.
It started with a guided tour for the students where the students were shown an enthralling movie on Space, space exploration and the history and operations of ISRO. It also featured the space legacy of various countries.
The students were delighted to learn about different types of satellites and their functioning, future missions of ISRO, different launch vehicles, parts of a rocket and its functioning etc.
A Senior Scientist at ISRO interacted with the students providing them with finer details of Space Exploration. The students asked questions with great enthusiasm to which the scientist gave precise answers.
Over all, the visit to the ISRO was an educating and thrilling experience for the students and they gained deeper understanding of space and space exploration.
